The Weinstein Co Announces They Now Control The Weather

The Weinstein Co Announces They Now Control The Weather By Peter Sciretta/Nov. 20, 2007 1:29 pm EST I got the weirdest press release in my email today. It was from the publicity company that handles The Weinstein Co’s releases stating that “Los Angeles was covered in a dense foggy mist last night,” joking that it might be a “publicity stunt” for Stephen King’s The Mist which hits theaters on Thanksgiving. So apparently now The Weinstein Co has found a way to control the weather....

/Film Interview: James Ponsoldt Talks Sex, Booze, And Nostalgia In ‘The Spectacular Now’ By Angie Han/Dec. 18, 2013 1:00 pm EST In an age when the phrase “teen drama” suggests hardscrabble dystopias or lovelorn werewolves, what’s extraordinary about The Spectacular Now is how ordinary it is. The leads are two kids that could be from any town in America, and their romance is neither epic nor star-crossed. Stories like this one surely play out dozens of times a day all over the world....

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Spoiler Review: How Is This Movie Worse Than ‘Batman V Superman’? By Jacob Hall/May 31, 2016 8:15 am EST Here’s a sentence I never thought I would write: X-Men: Apocalypse may be a worse movie than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a film that I haven’t been shy about disliking in a public setting. And yet, the latest film in the increasingly convoluted X-Men series forced me to consider a big question – do I prefer the awful movie that shoots for big ideas and belly flops on the pavement or the awful movie that tries nothing, risks nothing, and is content to just exist without even trying to try something special?...
