Attention-getting world premieres are a little thin so far (no The Tree of Life) though there are quite a few films making their world debut at the fest. Keep in mind that TIFF does have to compete with the likes of the Venice Film Festival (which runs right before TIFF), but there are quite a few notable Sundance and Cannes films (Buried, Blue Valentine) showing up here to balance things out....
